SEARCH is for final-year students, and for anyone in the last stretch before a transition. The final year is a threshold: the timetable, the campus and the people around you are about to change, and this course helps you leave with six baselines you own and practices that travel with you.
It is built on a framework for positive education with six pathways: Strengths, Emotional management, Attention and awareness, Relationships, Coping, and Habits and goals. Each of these can be measured and practised before you go. In this course you use your strengths on purpose and decide which you take into work, build your own menu of emotion regulation moves and coping strategies, and set goals with a plan for carrying them out. The only comparison it makes is you against your earlier self.
You start with My SEARCH Check-In, a private snapshot across the six pathways that gives you words, not a label, and your SEARCH Dashboard shows the movement. One module per pathway follows, with its instruments, core practices and extended practices. In Relationships I Take With Me you decide which relationships carry into life and one act each that keeps them alive. My Learning Cycle Log holds goal, strategy, monitoring, evaluation and change in one place, week by week. You close with SEARCH Handover: Six Commitments for your first year after graduation.
I suggest you begin with the first module, SEARCH and Your Dashboard, and take the Check-In in your first week. The Check-In and the dashboard stay open to you after university. A free twenty-four-hour trial lets you try the whole course first.
