LearnWell4Life is for anyone who is studying, or about to: a learner in the last years of school, a first-year finding the rhythm of lectures, or an adult going back to study. It is also for the teacher, lecturer or residence mentor who wants something to work through with a group.
Boost Your Brain for Study Success is a programme of nine video chapters on studying well. It grew out of LearnWell, first published by EquipU4 in 2002, and was made in 2007 in Afrikaans, English and isiXhosa. The English chapters are online here, free to watch, with no account needed, and they are free to use with a class, a residence, an intake or a community group.
The nine chapters follow the work of a student from the start: Start Smart, Motivation, In the Class, Organise What You Study, Problem Solving, Self Study, Time Management and Balance, Wellness and Stress, and Tests and Exams. You can watch them straight through, or go to the chapter that matches the part of your studying you want to work on now. With a group, the suggested rhythm is one chapter a session, followed by a conversation about what each person will change this week.
I suggest you begin with Start Smart and decide on one thing you will try this week. When you are ready to go further, the courses on the student pathway take the same ground deeper, with tools you fill in and a private record of your own; teachers will find the research behind good study habits in the free Evidence Library.
